Although we’re well into the new millennium, some mindsets still have some catching up to do when it comes to gender roles. Some traditions are harder to break than others. In Mr. Wifey, we meet Rodney and his family as they deal with a change in dynamics of their household; Michelle (Rodney’s wife) returning to the workforce. Michelle hasn’t worked since the earlier part of the relationship, and its taking Rodney some time to get used to it. However, Rodney is thrown for a complete loop when he comes face to face with a different situation he’s not used to. He’s introduced to a man who would prefer his woman to take the entire lead when it comes to being the breadwinner - while he does nothing. Say What?! Of course everyone has their input about a woman taking care of a man financially. With a mix of zany and opinionated characters, Mr. Wifey explores the different viewpoints of male and female gender roles in a comical satire.

What better way to bring people together for awesome dialogue than over food?! “Breaking Bread: Sunday Brunch” fills the void of the missing voice of the people by documenting the thoughts, ideas, and perspective of different people from different walks of life, offering their opinion and beliefs on today’s trending topics. From politics and religion, sex and relationships, to career and education - It’s taking the first amendment and freedom of expression to a new level. With all that is going today, the voice of the people tends to either be misrepresented or misinterpreted by prominent leaders or celebrities. Although they may “mean well”, there’s nothing better than actually hearing directly from the people that are directly affected.
The motivation of the series is to drive the art of conversation from everyday people, with everyday opinions.
